Cathie Quillet, LMFT, has been working in the mental health field for over two years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University in Christian Ministries, originally planning to pursue youth ministry. However, she found her true passion while counseling teens in her church’s youth group, leading her to pursue graduate studies. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Addiction Studies from Western Seminary in May, 2007. Cathie then began her practice in California, treating addicted teenagers in a group home setting. She then spent a year in private practice working with adolescents and adults, facilitating individual and group therapy.
Cathie’s clinical work has focused on treating adults and adolescents struggling with alcohol, drug or sexual addiction. She has also received training in grief therapy, helping clients find freedom to grieve and process loss in their own unique way. Cathie also has experience treating depression, anxiety, domestic violence, marital problems and negative/low self esteem.
In 2008, Cathie married and moved to northwest Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her husband and friends exploring the Midwest, finding great coffee shops, and serving at her church.
