Christopher
M. Muller, M.Ed. | Professional Clinical Counselor
Chris Muller has been a great addition to our practice. He sees both children and adults in individual, couples and family therapy. He brings with him over 15 years of rich clinical experience from two area community mental health agencies as well as work in a private practice setting.
After earning his bachelors degree in music from Bowling Green State University, he traveled to southeast Ohio to complete a Masters degree in Theology from the University of Steubenville. He then returned to Northwest Ohio to complete a Masters in Counseling from the University of Toledo and became independently licensed four years later. His early professional experience involved providing crisis intervention and counseling to young people and their families at Connecting Point. He later enjoyed working with a broad spectrum of issues in child, adolescent and family therapy at Children’s Resource Center in Bowling Green. Chris recently told me that he feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to enter private practice where he can work with individual adults and couples as well as older children and adolescents. Working to help couples clarify and accept their emotional responsibilities in marriage is a special focus of his. He finds it particularly satisfying helping clients find ways to incorporate their spirituality into their process of healing.
Two new areas of expertise are emerging for Chris Muller. First, he is accumulating experience working with domestic violence offenders on a regular basis in a group setting. Secondly, Chris has had extensive training in EMDR therapy, which helps people process disturbing experiences and memories that continue to affect their lives. He, along with the rest of the PPR staff, will complete this training in the spring of 2007.
Chris has been married for eighteen years and has three children. Most of his free time is spent with friends and family. He also enjoys practicing classical piano pieces at home.
